Remedy Bio:
Remedy Promoters Chadwick, Xavier, Christopher Vera and Brian Kadmiri have produced some of San Francisco's favorite weekly, monthly and special event parties since 1994 They're most known for their Remedy parties at Big Heart City, DNA Lounge and Ruby Skye and Electric at Club Townsend. They have produced and promoted over 1200 events at various venues in San Francisco such as the Warfield, DNA Lounge, Ruby Skye, Mezzanine, 1015 Folsom, Temple, Big Heart City and many many more.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

"What struck me about Remedy was the Energy. I found myself retracting to the wall of the main room at about 2:30 a.m. to soak up the scene, and what came to my mind was sort of odd. To my left were the pounding conga sounds of "The Funky Pharaoh" in total sink with the house music being cranked out by a small army of DJs. In front of me was a Go Go Freestyler on stage serving as a conductor to the orchestra of bodies on the floor in total sync like a colony of ants. I began; well sober I might add, to envision an alien civilization where all the inhabitants' central nervous systems were connected through one pounding rhythm. Trust me, I swear I was sober It was a most eclectic and energetic experience. If you're looking to club it will be hard to unseat this one. We all look for the basic fundamentals of a good club, which is good looking people and great music. The thing that separates the good from the great is usually the vibe or the energy. If it is energy that you seek, then Chadwick, Xavier, Brian Kadmiri and Christopher Vera might have found your Remedy..." - Tommy Fullove

On Wednesday, May 23rd, 14 men will compete but only one will win the title of Mr. Marina 2012.

We’re searching for the male specimen who most embodies the spirit of San Francisco’s Marina District: social, fun-loving, generous, manly… and it doesn’t hurt if he enjoys wearing pastel colors from time to time.
Mr. Marina doesn’t necessarily need to live in the 94123, but he does have to embody the neighborhood values.

The Finalists:

Aaron O’Brien

Adam Mintz

Brian Cope

Charlie Benker

Charlie Brown

Chris Clark

Chris Mulvanny

David Stein

Eric Barry

Greg McBeth

Jack Leeney

John Tuttle

Kyle Dropp

Taz Patel

At the main event, there will be a panel of judges who score contestants based on 3 categories:
• Swimwear
• “Marina-wear” Question & Answer
• Talent portion

Fundraising success will also be weighed within the score; each contestant will fundraise for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in order to participate.

Listening to Danger is like taking care of the time without feeling late, since hours are as well evocative as feelings for Franck Rivoire, the man behind the Danger phenomenon. With only three releases, he became a key figure in the French electro scene post Justice.

More than mere music, Danger, who was strongly influenced by video games as a teenager, creates a full-fledged universe in which dynamism, surprising structures and sought textures interact and complement each other between his artwork and his music.

Danger has proven to be able to reach a wide audience also through remixes for such artists as Sebastien Tellier, Estelle feat. Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas, La Roux or Midnight Juggernauts.

Live, Danger is a war machine deploying a stunning and epic new show where music, beats and visual effects are mixed for creating a unique atmosphere. Being at a Danger concert is like a travel, like discovering a universe through an adventure full of strong symbol and references.

From Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, The Twelves were formed by the duo João Miguel and Luciano Oliveira in 2005. The name came from the strange coincidence of their birth dates: 12th July 1980.

The breakthrough for The Twelves came in July of 2007 when they remixed the track “Boyz” from M.I.A’s sophomore album, Kala. The reworked track with an added club feel resulted in one of the most talked about remixes of 2007. The blog coverage surrounding the remix was extensive and eventually the track started to pop up in sets from high profile djs around the world, including Kissy Sell Out, who played it on BBC’s “In New Djs We Trust” series.

The duo followed “Boyz” with equally well received remixes for Asobi Seksu and Erlend Oye, both of which were featured on a number of blogs and music related sites. This stream of good tracks soon caught the attention of a number of labels, including Modular Records (home of Cut Copy, Klaxons and others) who commissioned a “Twelves Remix” of the song “Get Lucky” by New Young Pony Club. The resulting remix was released alongside reworkings from household names like MSTRKRFT and Who Made Who, and received excellent reviews.

Press coverage in Brazil soon started to pick up, with interviews on Newspapers and magazines. The coverage led to appearances in festivals and concerts alongside names like Diplo, LCD Soundsystem, She Wants Revenge, Van She and Phoenix.

Their live show is a unique blend of live keyboards, drum machines, mash-ups and remixing on the fly. Always trying to improvise as much as possible.

TARRUS RILEY's foray into music was inevitable. The talented singer
and songwriter was always surrounded by music from an early age. His
father is veteran reggae singer Jimmy Riley.

The secret to his success is quite simple when preparation meets
opportunity, stated a self-assured Riley. I sing for the people - this
is the contribution I can make and after I make a song; it isnt even
mine anymore; it belongs to the people.

Known for his healing music, Tarrus released his sophomore album
Parables in 2006 to widespread acclaim and spawned hit singles - Stay
With You, Beware, Shes Royal, Lion Paw, among others. I worked on
Parables with Dean Fraser and I wasnt surprised at the success it has
had, but how fast it all happened, Riley reflected.

LOS RAKAS represent pan-American flows. Two cousins who grew up in Panama before spending their teens in Oakland, California, Raka Dun and Raka Rich put a distinctive "Panabay" twist on hip-hop and reggae, bridging the streetwise sounds of the places they've called home. Drawing on Panamanian plena's faithful approach to reggae classics and the Bay Area's independent and idiosyncratic hip-hop scene, Los Rakas merge familiar dancehall melodies with a lyricism all their own.

Common Kings produce phenomenal pop hits with rock, reggae, R&B and classic soul influences. The Kings individual musical journeys were inspired by artists like Musiq Soulchild, Raphael Saadiq, D'Angelo, Van Morrison, Stevie Wonder, George Benson, Jim Croce, Michael
Jackson, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Gypsy Kings, Earth Wind & Fire, Maroon 5 and many traditional artists from the islands. The band’s resulting original sound is a collection of these varied musical and cultural inspirations orchestrated into an array of head-rocking beats, feel-good rhythms, and emotional fervor.
